On November 11th, we held a very autumnal fundraising evening. Fine food, an incredible live band, raffle and much more. Thank you to everyone that came and enjoyed an evening with us whilst beginning our fundraising for the opening of the camp in 2017!
On the 10th August, the summer camp was opened to some very special guests including the ambassador, Fiona Gibb, who said "I had a wonderful day, it was a pleasure to see such talented young people!"
The day was full of special shows, entertainment, lots of food and a fun filled day.
On the 2nd October a dedicated group of volunteers took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon. The 3 involved all managed to make it past that finish line in almost one piece.
Between them they managed to raise over £750 which will be used towards the development of a multi functioning house at the Summer Camp which will be used for volunteer accommodation, sponsor accommodation, for families to stay in and many more uses. It is a project that is ongoing and will continue to develop over the coming years as the camp is able to flourish and expand!
The volunteers have all (mostly) recovered with some aching limbs and sore backs, but was an incredible accomplishment. You all deserve a very well-earned rest. Massive thank you from all of us here at the Five Cs.
On the 2nd July trustee Dafydd Gape, along with some very talented friends, took part in a brilliant concert in aid of the Five Cs which turned out to be a great night filled with some up and coming talent at a lovely venue, Sunflower and I, raising £250! Thank you so much to all involved.
On the 16th June, the long awaited new Hospice building was opened for business. We were honoured that the 5Cs were able to be represented on the day, our Chairperson and 3 other volunteers were able to attend along with all the VIPs! It was a fantastic day and the building, resources and staff are truly awe inspiring. We are delighted and honoured to be able to be a small part of the much bigger job that the Belarusian Children's Hospice do every day.
Another very successful summer this year. Everyone involved at the summer camp had a great time.
Our chairperson, Bethan Powell, again spent the whole 10 weeks the camp was open volunteering at the camp with various Team Leaders joining her for part of the summer.
We had some lovely feedback from the staff at the hospice about all of our volunteers who did us proud once again this summer.

On the 22nd May a long time standing volunteer Tony Powell, along with a few friends, took part in the incredible feat of the Cardiff Velothon, cycling over 80 miles all in aid of our small charity. All the money raised goes towards the opening of the Belarusian Children's Summer Camp in June. Massive thank you to Tony, Paul and Kingsley for raising £672.80!
In May we were invited to be interviewed by the TV channel 'Made in Cardiff'. They made an interesting piece on the charity with some fantastic moments from the camp shown within it.

It was that time of the year again on the 22nd May where we got everyone together for our annual cocktail party, this year's theme was an autumnal Barn Dance. Rhiwbina Memorial Hall in Cardiff was decked out with barn decorations, there were even hay bales at the photo booth, and we were all dressed up in our best costumes!
As always, a massive thank you to all our wonderful volunteers that helped to make the event the success that it was, to all those friends and family that come to our events year after year as well as those who are new joining us, we hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
All profits raised go towards the opening of the Summer Camp where all the volunteers involved pay their own flights, accommodation and even food so that all the money we raise at events like this can go where it is needed the most, towards the running costs of our lovely little camp.
On the 28th February a group of volunteers ran in the 5K or 10K St Davids Day Run in Cardiff raising vital funds for the ongoing project of running the Belarusian Children's Hospice Summer Camp. Everyone involved made it over the finish line in (mostly) one piece and (mainly) with a smile on their faces. Massive congratulations to all those involved! We raised £922.21!
